Staff testimonials

Anna Johnson- Social care worker
I've been a carer since 2009. I work with people with MS, dementia and challenging behaviour. I support children and their families at home. I love all the people I look after, but especially working with children and families. I'm currently working towards NVQ Level 2 in care. The job can be hard work, but I love it!

Zebignieuw - Social Care worker
I've been working for Dora Healthcare since 2008. I care for people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, dementia and physical impairment. I have also done live-in care for a client with brain damage. I travel all over Norfolk with my job. The first few days with a new client you need to pay a lot of attention to getting the details right. My favourite group is children with autism. Communicating with them is like learning another language! You have to be tolerant and patient and occasionally avoid the punches! I have NVQ level 2 in Social care, and am working towards level 3.
Julie Nash - domiciliary care worker
I've been working for Dora Healthcare since 2007. Previous to that I was an auxiliary nurse at a hospital, and before that I ran my own business. I work with people with MS, demential, learning disabilities and terminal illness. I really enjoy working with terminal cancer patients, as it is a chance to help someone enjoy the last part of their life as much as possible, and to support their family. The job can be hard, but I love it. I like working in the community doing one to one work with clients, helping them with their medication and helping them to organise and enjoy their lives.
